START UP
Do you know that feeling of being your own boss? Have you ever thought of owing your own business where you have employees "? Have you ever thought of financial freedom and having your time at your disposal? These are few of many benefits of owing a firm or company. But can I blow your mind "? Everybody can't be a business owner. Oh yes we can't all be. Some because they don't have what it takes or they can't put up with the pressure it comes with. One would rather stay in business or company where he is sure of his salary at the end of each month than start a business he can't manage and by extension is bound to fail.
Take this scenario, Mr Ken worked with a fashion Company as the company's messenger and also make shoes. One day he thought to himself, since he could make shoes,he could make it in large quantity for sale giving him money and time to becoming his own boss. Without proper research on what it will cost, he submitted his resignation letter and went to establish his own shoe firm. It all started well and rosy but soon crashed because the market was not as swift as he imagined. He lost his job and also his shoe firm, he lost both because he didn't count his cost and he didn't know what it takes to deliver.

Let's get it straight, we all must not owe business, we can work for some one else and still be successful. But if you think owing your own business is what you want, then lets talk about it. It's not easy to start a business  it's not, it can be frustrating, it can be struggle but if you can go all that, it can be worth it. I'm one of those who do not believe capital is the most important thing in raising a business. I  think it's ability to grab an idea, a sustainable idea I mean, knowing what will thrive and where it will thrive. In a case an idea has been gotten, a feasibility study becomes essential.

Truth be told that some ideas needs large capital but I suggest you start small while aiming high. Probably you can start with something small to raise funds for the big picture but you will have to start. Some one said " the best time to plant a tree was last 20 years the next best is now" start with WHAT you have, start WHERE you are ,start NOW. you can raise capital through the little savings you have, plan to save for the business and it motivates you to find your way around it. Another way to raise capital is through angel investors, those relatives you can speak to and they with some funds to start.

A lady has a plan to establish a catering school but had no money, as a student she saved some of her pocket money to start a zobo drink business which aided her raise funds to attend a catering school with the vision of having hers, she kept with her zobo business till she was done with her catering schooling. Even at her graduation, she didn't still have enough funds so she began working from home, telling people about what she does and getting recommended as a result of her outstanding work. That was where she built on, she has one of the best catering school. You see its vision and consistence, before capital.

In a startup, time is crucial. It is as crucial as the business. I would say if you Want to kill a man, take his time because that's what one needs to execute your idea and make it work. As one who has plans to start a business, you will have to dedicate your time to make it work. As a sole proprietor, you serve as the manager, administrator, marketer, sales person,  messenger all as a person since there is space for recruitment yet. You act in these diverse offices even as a single person so you must have to curtail fun and work more. This is not withstanding, you can invite a friend to help out, delegate some work to the person to help you deliver but I must warn strictly your delegation of duty does not make you less responsible for such duty delegated . You are still supposed to ensure such work is finally delivered. I must also say don't expect perfection from such friends, they can disappoint.  So don't take it to heart when it happens, always have a plan B and use it to cover up when such occasion occurs.

When there is no sales, there is actually no business so sales are basic when starting a business. You will have to learn how to  communicate and sell if you don't have the natural ability to.  I must advice that at startup you do not, I emphasis do not leave sales management under the care of anybody no matter how trusted, it may crash as they may likely handle it as not their business.  It remains your sole responsibility and duty to make sales until it grows beyond what you can handle then can you allow someone else manage it.

Have you heard this saying that customers are always right?? Do you agree with it? I suggest you should because they have what you need, without them there's no business since they have the purchasing power. It becomes necessary as a starter to Learn how to treat them, how to make them come again and also the right way to approach them when they are about to make wrong choices.  I must bring to bear that in the course of your business growth, to even when it has grown, you will be dealing with customers who are from different backgrounds therefore bear diverse attitude. Some customers are rude, very rude. It takes purpose, understanding and patience to bear all their misdeeds.

Do you want your business to move from start up to an established business?  Certainly you will want that to happen, let me be real with you "don't give out your seed". When friends and family see you have started a business, all their minds tell them is that you have gotten rich, the next is to start asking you for money. Be careful not to give out your seed just to be termed generous. When your seed is gone, they may not show up again, politely decline Sharing money until your business starts making stable proceeds. Give it is essential but again don't give out your seed.
In startup, count your COST, give your TIME  ,learn to SELL,        your CUSTOMERS remains key, don't give your SEED
