Some foods that causes farting and ways to reduce them It can be quite embarrassing to dress all up probably for a date only to ruin it cause of farting or it can be quite saddening to realise you can't eat certain foods just because you cant stand the embarrassment especially if they are one of your favorites like beans for me. Today we take a look at some foods which may cause farting and ways to reduce its occurrence especially for the sake of the females. Top foods that causes farting which you might not have realised

1. Beans beans are probably leading at the top of the list when it comes to fart causing foods, it contain the Oligosaccharides, raffinose,stachyose and verbascose which are all complex sugars which does not easily digest. These sugars passes through the small intestines into the large intestines where they tend to last longer thus prompting fermentation by bacteria resulting in hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane gas, which invariably comes out as fart. This can be reduced by soaking the beans overnight.

2. Dairy products Lactose commonly referred to as milk sugar, is found in milk and most dairy products, including cheese and ice cream, can also cause farting tendencies. This is because certain individuals lack the enzyme lactase in their systems which breaks these compound , a condition called lactose intolerance , thus as in the case of beans the sugar is fermented in the guts thereby releasing gases. People who don’t produce enough of the enzyme lactase have difficulty digesting lactose, it is best to consume fermented dairy products in which the lactose have been broken down externally, or they could try non-dairy products such as almond milk or taking lactase pills to aid lactose digestion.
3. Whole grains Whole grains including , wheat and oats contain fiber, raffinose, and starch. All of these more or less stay longer in the guts leading to fermentation by bacteria in the large intestine, which results to gas production. With exception to rice.

4. Sodas Sodas and other carbonated drinks are not left out and can significantly add to the amount of gases present in the guts When air gets into your digestive tract, it has to pass through somehow. This causes burping and may also increase how much gas you pass. Replacing soda for juice, tea, or water (with no carbonation) helps you reduce gas and is much healthier.


5. Vegetables Quite controversially Certain vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, asparagus, and cauliflower have been discovered to cause farting in the guts, just like beans, these vegetables also contain the oligosaccharide sugar, raffinose. Notwithstanding, these are very healthy foods, and doctors recommendations are required before complete elimination from the diet.

Whether it comes from food sources as obvious as beans or as innocent looking as sodas ,farts can be quite embarrassing and reducing their causes is very important, if you dont want to ruin that first date.
