Spirituality in Business??? JEEZ!!! Why? How?

                                                                             

The Biblical strategy is the fundamental strategy of any business. It is the most important strategy needed for the growth of any business. It is necessary for all business to have their foundation on spirituality. YES!!  Everything is spiritual.

What is this Biblical Strategy???

Biblical strategy is simple the strategy gotten from the Bible, which is the word of God.

The Bible has the answer to every question we need. It takes revelation to unveil the strategies from the Bible. Revelation is gotten from having a solid relationship with God, which means frequent prayers, communication with God, studying the Bible etc.

In the article “Basic Marketing Strategies for Growing a Profitable Business as an Entrepreneur”, introduction was made about Biblical Strategy which was in the God factor.

This strategy has been ignored by many organizations because organizations feel it is not needed in a business setting.

Well!!! Let me shock you…. Yup!!

Without God involved in your organization, it cannot succeed or progress.

There is a thought on someone mind right now…. “Have been succeeding since, I need no God”.

But do you know there are greater heights to attain than your present position?

What if the reason you have been succeeding in your business is because one of your employees is a person who pays tithe to God?

Don’t you think the grace of God upon that employer is what is keeping your business going? Strange right??? You feel it is not possible for God to bless your business because of just one employee. For the sake of one faithful man, God can do anything. So do not go around thinking you have been doing it on your own without God.

My dear, you need God in every aspect of your life, including your business.

You can’t serve God and be a failure in life. NEVER!!!!!

There so many cases in the world that serves as example that “spirituality pays”.  These cases will be grouped into two, the biblical cases and the contemporary cases.

Biblical Cases.     
Various examples gotten from the Bible, includes:  

Ø  Job: Job was the greatest man among all the people in the East. Job feared God. He reverenced God. You can check it out in the Bible… The book of Job Chapter 1.

Ø  Abraham:  God blessed Abraham abundantly. You know why??? Abraham feared and obeyed God.

Ø  Isaac:  Isaac is the son of Abraham.  Imagine the lineage of great men. God blessed Isaac and He became wealthy. Isaac also obeyed the Lord. God also blessed Isaac because of his father Abraham. The book of Genesis Chapter 26.

Ø  Joseph:  Joseph is the son of Jacob, the grandson of Isaac, the great grandson of Abraham. He also feared and obeyed God. He was blessed abundantly.

Other Biblical cases include David a man after God heart; Solomon who offered great sacrifices to God, he was very wealthy and wise; Israel; Josiah etc.

One unique attribute of these great men is that, they obeyed and feared God.

          Contemporary Cases:

Few cases have been cited in the article “Basic Marketing Strategies for Growing a Profitable Business as an Entrepreneur”.

Contemporary cases in the world include:

Ø  David Green:

The founder of Hobby Lobby, an arts and craft chains with 520 superstores. He is the owner of the largest private collection of Biblical antiquities in the world.

Ø  Bishop David Oyedepo

  The president/founder of Living Faith Church worldwide. Chancellor of two (2) universities (Covenant University and Landmark University). A man that obeys and fears God.

Ø  Jin Sook and Do Won Chang:

   Number 79 on the list the 400 richest Americans. The founder of the fashion retail outlet “Forever 21”.

Ø  Mark Burnett:

 Chief Executive Officer United Artist Media Group. TV producer of “the voice, survivor, shark tank and Bible series”.

         

      VARIOUS BIBLICAL STRATEGIES

1)      Vision:  Have a vision!!!

   It is very necessary to have one. How will you know where your organization is heading to in years to come without a vision? How will you make plans without vision? Remember when one fail to plan, he or she plans to fail.

What is a vision??? A vision is a clear picture of your future. It is a broader definition of your goal.  Vision is what you plan to achieve in a long run. Vision provides plan. As a business man your must have a vision. A vision can also be gotten through prayers. God is not a God of confusion. You can ask Him, is plan for your life, trust me, He will reveal them to you, patience is just needed. God can reveal His vision for you through dreams, revelations, encounters such as one on one communication with God. You can actually hear from God, very possible, just have a deeper walk with him.

2)      Kingdom Advancement Endeavors (KAE)/ Kingdom Stewardship:

 This is the engagement of the spirit, soul and body in promoting the kingdom of God. It is known as kingdom stewardship. There are services rendered by individuals to God. As entrepreneurs, managers, CEOs, individuals, it is necessary to participate in KAE. Serving God pays, God is not a user of men but a rewarder of men.

Only those in service are eligible for change of level. God is not looking for who to impoverish but who to empower for wealth.

Three Basic Aspect of KAE:

                               I.            Spiritual Stewardship: When you serve the interest of God, God serves your interest. When you take God personal, He takes you personal. Spiritual stewardship includes soul winning/ evangelism, praying for souls, praying for the expansion & promotion for the kingdom of God, praying for ministers, praying for people. Etc. When you pray for others, you pave way for yourself.

                            II.            Physical Stewardship:  This involves serving God with our skills, time and energy. There are activities carried out physically. Activities such as joining of service unit in the church. Service unit such as the ushering department, choir department, prayer intercessors etc.  Use your skills to work for God. Belong to a service unit.

                         III.            Financial & Material Stewardship: It includes giving/donations of money or finances, offerings, tithes, offering financial assistance to the church etc. When you are a giver financial stress is taking out of your life.                                                                        What is Tithe? Tithe is God’s portion of your earnings that makes the remaining meaningful. It is the 10%  of your income or earnings.

Let me be practical…. A man that earns $100 hourly or daily or weekly or monthly or yearly, his tithe is 10% of $100 which is $10.  $90 belongs to the man, while $10 belongs to God.

You need proves??? Check it out in the Bible, if you don’t have one you can Google it, Deuteronomy Chapter 14v 22-26; Malachi Chapter 3v 6- 12.

Also it is necessary to bring our offerings to God. You can’t pay your tithe and lack, NO SIR!!!

3)      Always Seek God’s Direction:

    This is the third biblical strategy in this article. God’s direction is also known as divine direction. It is necessary to follow divine direction in every stage of your life. You need to be led by the spirit and not your head. God is too big for errors and too wise for mistake.  It is necessary to seek God first in all you do, this is one of my secret to my success. Nothing takes the position of God, not family, not career, not relationship, not academics. God direction commands God’s presence which silence every demonic opposition to bring fulfillment and success in your life and career. Divine direction saves you the stress of making mistakes /errors which cost time, energy and money. Always ask God, “God what are you saying about this, should I do this or that, will it work out?”  Trust me God wants to be involved in every aspect of your life.                                                                      

There are various factors that guarantee God’s direction. These include;

Ø  Meekness of heart (Humility).

Ø  Fear of the Lord

Ø  Prayer of enquiry.

4)      Operate your Business by Faith: All heroes in the scripture have faith.

 The spirit of faith empowers you to believe all things. The spirit of faith sees opportunities in problems. Operate your business by Faith, what Faith speaks, God offers. Always have a positive mentality. Think positively, say positive things, act positively.

5)      Create Value, Opportunities, and Wealth. Keep innovating.

6)      Have a Mentor. Learn from those in your field or other fields. Learn from those who have obtained.

7)      Save and Build reserves.

8)      Invest wisely and numerously.

What if I don’t know this God that gives biblical strategies?

What if I don’t have a relationship with God?

How can I know this God?

It is very possible to know God, dear, He loves you just the way you are, He doesn’t look at your flaws. He really wants to have a relationship with you. He loves you so much. Just accept Him as Christ and your savior. Also love Him in return.

When you love someone you do things to please them right? Do the same to God.

When you love a person you spend time with the person right? Do the same to God.

When you love a person you try not to offend/upset the person right? Try not to upset God. He will give you the grace not to.

Remember Champions emerge out of challenges. Don’t give up dear. Challenges are stepping stones for champions. We are God kind; we are created in His image. Have you seen a giant give birth to dwarf? Giants don’t give birth to dwarfs. Therefore since we are God kind, we are to produce after God.
